A woman who was home when a gunman walked into her firehouse and shot at her has told authorities that she was never at home.
The shooting happened Friday afternoon in the town of Roseville, about 70 miles northeast of Charlotte, North Carolina.
A woman who answered the door of the firehouse on North C Street said she didn’t know whether the woman who lived in the house was home at the time of the shooting.
She was not identified because she was not a suspect.
The woman said the man walked in through a side door.
He opened fire inside the building.
No one was injured.
Authorities said that when they responded to the 911 call about a shooting, the woman could not identify who the shooter was or what his motives were.
